Spain: Housing permits improve in September; housing prices record softest decline in three years in Q3

In September, the Spanish Board of Architects (Colegio de Arquitectos Tecnicos) granted 2,228 new construction permits, according to data published by the Ministry of Public Works (Ministerio de Fomento). The figure was an improvement compared to the all-time low of 1,585 permits approved in August. On an annual basis, permits plunged 29.4%, which, nevertheless, marks an improvement over the 39.9% drop recorded in August.
